Rolls Out High-Expansion Silicone Foam Sheet Material

Product Overview

Silicone Foam Sheet Material is a two-component addition-curing liquid silicone that foams chemically when the A and B parts are combined. It cures into a soft, lightweight, and eco-friendly foam that can be cast at any thickness with easy handling. HONG YE SILICONE, an established RTV-2 silicone rubber and liquid silicone manufacturer, supplies this foamed silicone with stable batch quality to industrial buyers worldwide.

Technical Specifications

  • Chemistry: Two-part, platinum-catalyzed addition silicone
  • Mix Ratio: 1:1 (A:B by weight)
  • Expansion: 2× standard; 7× maximum
  • Temperature Range: -65°C to +200°C continuous
  • Key Properties: Uniform cells, low linear shrinkage, excellent rebound, flame retardant
  • Certifications: ISO9001, UL, CE
  • Packaging: A 25/250/200 kg; B 20/25/200 kg per drum

Product Features and Advantages

  1. Efficient Material Usage — Foams to 2× naturally and up to 7× maximum, reducing silicone consumption per finished part and lowering costs.
  2. Uniform and Stable — Consistent cell structure with low shrinkage and high rebound gives repeatable part quality every batch.
  3. Lightweight and Soft — Premium elastic hand-feel with no migration or shrinkage over its service life.
  4. Safe and Inert — Non-toxic, non-corrosive, non-radioactive, and chemically stable; suitable for body silicone and skin-contact applications.
  5. All-Weather Performance — Maintains flexibility from -65°C to 200°C with strong heat, cold, electrical insulation, and flame resistance.
  6. Simple Processing — No thickness limits, straightforward 1:1 ratio, and easy integration with manual or automated production lines.

How to Use — Step by Step

  1. Pre-stir Components A and B separately so settled materials are evenly distributed.
  2. Weigh and blend A and B at a 1:1 ratio, stirring for 2–3 minutes until fully uniform.
  3. Degas the mixed material under vacuum and use it promptly to prevent premature curing.
  4. Cast or inject into the mold and allow foaming and curing at room temperature or with mild heating.

Application Scenarios

  • Sealing and Insulation: Gaskets, sealing strips, foam sheets, silicone foam tubes, and copier/printer roller sponges.
  • Automotive and Furniture: Headrests, gear shift covers, seat cushions, sofa and mattress padding.
  • Health and Lifestyle: Bra inserts, shoulder pads, maternity back supports, infant pillows, and senior fitness equipment.
  • Model and Filler: Core filling for silicone robots, lifecasting figures, and display models — complementing mold making silicone and prototype silicone workflows.
  • Electronics: Lightweight damping and filling alongside electronic potting compound systems.

Value for Buyers: Lower material spend, more consistent products, and durable sealing or cushioning performance that strengthens your end-product quality.

Certifications and Compliance

Produced under ISO9001 quality management with UL and CE certifications, this silicone foam meets recognized international safety and environmental standards, easing market entry for overseas buyers.

Customization Options

We offer adjustable hardness and expansion ratio, custom color matching, viscosity tuning for automated dispensing, enhanced flame-retardant grades, and food-contact or medical-grade formulations on request.

Production Process

Raw material inspection → precise A/B batching → vacuum compounding → laboratory tests (viscosity, expansion, hardness) → sealed drum packaging → final inspection before shipment. Supported by 48 production lines and 23+ years of silicone expertise.

FAQ

Q: Can I request a sample before ordering? A: Yes. We always arrange pre-production samples before mass production and complete final inspection before shipment, so you can validate quality first.

Q: What is the pot life after mixing? A: Pot life is generally 20–60 minutes at room temperature depending on grade and conditions. Degas and dispense promptly for best results.

Q: Are flame-retardant versions available? A: Yes. We provide enhanced flame-retardant formulations for applications with stricter fire-safety requirements.

Q: How should leftover material be stored? A: Keep both components in sealed containers in a cool, dry place. Do not return partially mixed material to the original drums.

Q: Does part thickness affect performance? A: No. The product is not limited by thickness, allowing you to design thin gaskets or thick cushion blocks with consistent foam quality.
