On the cost side, methanol prices remained stable at around 3,380 yuan/ton, and chlor-alkali supply was sufficient, providing stable support for methyl chloride production costs. On the demand side, downstream silicone monomer factories maintained stable rigid procurement demand, with a smooth purchasing rhythm and no concentrated stockpiling behavior.
Market insiders said that methyl chloride will maintain a balanced supply-demand pattern in the short term, and its price is expected to remain stable. However, if methanol prices rise sharply or the operating rate of silicone monomers increases further, methyl chloride prices may face upward pressure.
