Policy Boost: Seven Ministries Push Petrochemical Retrofit; B

Center Sentence: The seven-ministry petrochemical equipment retrofit plan (2026–2029) will promote silicone industry upgrading by eliminating outdated capacity, strengthening environmental compliance and improving efficiency, providing policy support for the high-quality development of the silicone industry.

MIIT and six other agencies released the Action Plan for Upgrading Petrochemical Aging Facilities (2026–2029), mandating full retrofit by 2029.
